Mr Hart takes the time to listen and understand the patient as well as their circumstances. He is very calm and respectful. I would 100% recommend Mr Hart who has cared for both of my parents. He offers a high standard of care and is committed to his patients. Mr Hart puts the patient first at all times.

Dr Hart is an incredibly kind and amazing doctor. I was extremely lucky to have had such a wonderful doctor taking care of me during my recent admission to the Royal Free Hospital. I highly recommend him and cannot say enough great things about what a truly exceptional doctor he is.

Mr. Hart is an absolute hero! He took the lead in my care after I'd gone through several months of recovery challenges after an operation. He paid such close attention to my story and made me feel heard from the offset.
He undertook the next operation I required, which went really well. He made sure that I was reviewed regularly until fully recovered, even when services were pressured due to covid. He was also concerned with my overall wellbeing and not just the surgical procedure - following his advice in the lead-up to, and after, surgery, led to significant improvements in my mental health and quality of life. I'm hugely pleased with the outcome of the surgery - the clinical issue has resolved and on top of that the scarring is minimal and a much better result than expected. Forever grateful for his expertise, empathy and non-stop efforts; would definitely recommend him to others.

Hey dr colin hart.... it's me Emma lawton... I had a service dog called boo and was living in care. I just wanna say a hugs huge thanks for my illiostomy reversal. U done an amazing job but also as someone who suffers mental health the compassion u had. U listen and u dont judge... I loved meeting u and ur team each day to make me smile and help me on the rough days... Mr Colin Hart is a fantastic doctor he listens to people he is there to help always checking to see if you’re okay you’re amazing job on my hernia that was the size of a melon and the outcome was absolutely amazing I’m very pleased with the whole lot and I would recommend him to everybody I know that has to go in for an operation

Mr Colin Hart read Medicine at Leicester Medical School and has worked throughout London and the East Midlands. He was awarded his MD by University College London. He was appointed as a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital in 2015. His primary interest is in managing complex abdominal wall hernias and he manages inflammatory bowel disease, colonic cancers, diverticular disease, adhesional and other obstructions of the bowel. He also treats all benign perianal disease including fissures, fistulas, prolapse, haemorrhoids and other lesions. Mr Hart provides a safe, effective service with the patient at the very centre of all decisions and aims to return patients to their normal activities as soon as possible.
